This week the Saints say a sad but fond farewell to Jan Chleboun, without a doubt the most talented player to wear a Saints jersey to date. Jan grew up playing in the Czech Republic competing in the same division that spawned many an NHL star including Jaromír Jágr. Jan played for the LCC Titans for the full 2008 season and the first few games in this season, he played a tough brand of physical hockey. In 21 Games Jan scored 15 Goals with 10 Assists and 78 PIM, always willing to defend a team mate and fight for the Saints, Jan proved his loyalty when invited to train with the Ice Dog he politely declined deciding to stay with the Titans. An invitation that was insulting to his skill that would have seen him easily gain a regular spot on the Ice Dogs without the need for a trial. More importantly the Titans lose a great piece of their team chemistry and a good friend to all on the team in Jan. All the best and we hope to see you back soon!
