NB: Trials for selection in each of these teams takes place in February every year which is approximately two months prior to the commencement of the Ice Hockey New South Wales (IHNSW) main winter competition.

Throughout the year, players may be temporarily or permanently benched from the team for reasons of personal, disciplinary or mutually agreed nature. For these common circumstances, some teams may elect to allow more players to be selected at trials or throughout the year. Both at selections

Prospective players who wish to train with the teams only can do so on the provision that the Coach and/or Manager of the respective team allows them.
